1. A study programme's strategy and policy  
(‘Plans’ and ‘Dos in the PC workspace)

• A study programme has a vision and policy for education that are topical and up to date. They explicitly contain the following elements: 
  • Mission, Vision and Learning Outcomes (in Dutch: OLR) 
  • Coherent Curriculum 
  • Teaching Methods 
  • Master's Dissertation 
  • Work Placement (if applicable) 
  • Assessment and Exit Level 
• A study programme updates its vision and policy for education at least once during the six-year institutional review cycle (for instance, in the run-up to a thorough curricular review). 

2. A study programme has a cyclical or continuous focus on quality assurance based on (quantitative and qualitative) data and monitoring

• The Programme Committee adopts a modus operandi (MO) to monitor the quality of its education. This may either be cyclical or continuous, but is always grounded in (the available) data (for instance, annually upon the release of new survey results). 
• The monitoring MO that a Programme Committee adopts suits its context and existing processes. 

• A study programme ensures the realisation of its content-related objectives as well as Ghent University's strategic education objectives: 
  • Dare to Think and Multiperspectivism
  • Education Grounded in Excellent Research
  • Development of Talent among Students and Staff
  • Stakeholder Participation
  • Internationalisation for Students and Staff
  • Study Programme Committee: Operation and Improvement Policy
• Through its self-assessment in the PC workspace, a study programme adopts a critical perspective on its operations and the realisation of its objectives. 
• The Programme Committee decides how and when it achieves its objectives.

• A study programme develops a system to detect and effectively address issues (quality improvement plan). 
• To monitor these issues, the Programme Committee adopts a rhythm that aligns with its other processes.

• A study programme updates the publicly available information at least once during the six-year institutional review cycle (for instance in the run-up to a thorough curricular revision) and/or upon the renewal of the quality assurance resolution issued by the EQB. The update is data-driven and in line with Ghent University's publication guidelines for the Study Guide website.

• A study programme establishes a system or method for periodic content validation by independent international peers. It does this at least once during the six-year institutional review cycle.
